Xavi on Erling Haaland: ‘I’ve yet to meet a player who’s said no to FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez has revealed why his club are in a strong position when it comes to recent sales. Rumors have been circulating this week, with Xavi meeting with Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland.

Reports also say Xavi met with the striker to try to persuade him to join Barca amid interest from Europe.

Erling Haaland has a 75m euro release clause that will apply this summer, and it is very clear that it is likely to continue.

Barca are already doing the work after putting themselves in a strong financial position in an effort to put themselves in a good position before the summer.

And Barca coach Xavi also believes that the Blaugrana, despite their recent struggles, are still able to withstand it.

“Are you sure we met? I did not know, ”he said in Haaland ahead of Barcelona’s UEFA Europa League match against Galatasaray.

Speaking normally, he added: “It is always a good moment to sign for Barcelona. The best team in the world.

“Again, no footballer has ever said ‘no’ to signing for Barca as I was the coach.”
